Avoid Winter Breakdowns with Pre-Season Checkups
By Mike McClanahan / September 16, 2021

Don’t let the warm start to this fall in the Central Rockies lull you into complacency when it comes to getting your snow and ice removal equipment ready to roll when the first big storm hits. You know it’s coming. And if you’ve been here more than a minute, you know it could be a doozy.

Two of Denver’s top ten snowstorms hit in mid-October, and while October may not rank as high as most other snow season months, there can still be crippling dumps in the suburbs, foothills, and mountains.

Will you be ready when the “white gold” falls?

Get a leg (or a plow) up on the season by giving your fleet a through inspection before it needs to be pressed into service. Are any of the plows, scrapers, or buckets damaged or broken? Do all the control systems work right? Windows OK? Cabin controls and comforts comfy? Tires in good shape?

How about the vehicle itself? A sophisticated snow and ice removal system won’t do much good it you can’t get it on the road.

Beat the Rush

The world’s full of procrastinators. Don’t be one of them. Aside from the dawdlers swamping parts and repair departments when the heavy stuff hits, this year you can throw shipping delays and parts shortages into the mix. Let the other guys wait while you get the last part in stock installed.

From pickups to snowblowers, O.J. Watson Equipment can service, repair, and replace snow and ice removal parts and equipment to give you a head start on the coming winter weather. We stock the parts you need to keep your trucks on the job and on the road. Our suppliers are the most trusted brands in the business, and since we build custom trucks, we have more brands and varieties of parts available than other dealers.

If you want to upgrade your existing equipment, our expert fabricating division can build custom racks, cab guards, saddlebags, or any other addition or modification to make your truck—or entire fleet—a perfect fit for your seasonal needs.
